American Model RailRoad Group, Gosport
A small but friendly group of individuals who have an interest in railways, and specifically but not exclusively the North American prototype and model railroads.
Monthly meetings, and sometimes more frequently for practical "hands on" sessions, and hold a model railroad running meet and mini exhibition four times a year, usually February, May, August and October/November.

Formed in the late 1960's/early 70's, HWDMRS has progressed to become one of the leading Model Railway clubs west of London, some say the South East.
The club has its own private clubroom that's open to members 7 days a week.
Always ready for running are various layouts of British or American genre, in scales O, OO/HO and N.

Northern Counties American Modellers
This little publicised American railway modelling group has been in existence for about thirty years, and up to around 20 years ago membership was by invitation only.
Meetings were held annually at a variety of locations, but for some years they have been on the first Sunday of the odd months from 10 am for several hours in an idyllic part of the country and are now at Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall, Nth Yorkshire. About 3 miles West/Northwest of Harrogate.
