How I run my railroad Okay, you've got your railroad running, and it looks great with all those sweet-running engines and cars. So now what next? Do you just run trains as and when you want, or maybe you want to run trains to some kind of timetable? How do you do that? |

Starting with a blank piece of paper...From my layout concept and available space, I knew the basic track plan would be a staging-to-yard design. With some careful consideration I managed to fit two interchanges (Wabash and Gulf, Mobile and Ohio), with the GM&O featuring a flat crossing. Later, I added a third "interchange" with the Illinois Terminal Company, by using some spare space on my eventual staging extension. A quick tour of the layout... |

Welcome to CB&Q Springfield Sub, a web page documenting the construction of my N scale model railroad. I intend to post photos of the layout's progress, along with some information about how I build and operate it. Although it's currently a working railroad, there's plenty still to do. |
