Hi again after hearing some positive comments about the loco roster article I was encouraged to make another one for my stock, so to start with I'm writing about my passenger stock. |

The lower deck I have left this alone at the moment as I want to get all the messy work on the upper deck done, although the plan will remain pretty faithful to the original except that some of the sidings will be longer and spaced out a bit more. |

What did I want from my layout? This was the easiest part of the whole project so far. I wanted a layout where I can have a few friends over and operate it. I also wanted a layout that I can operate on my own when no one is around ie switching and I also wanted what I believe is called a railfanning layout where I can watch the world go by. |

The UPPCR How it came about Hi and to quote The Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy this is the Why, What and Where phase
Why? does a die hard fan of British railways model trains thousands of miles away? well like a lot of UK based modellers of North American railways I got frustrated with the quality and price of UK models and whilst sitting waiting for our flight back to the UK a colleague passed a copy of MR magazine to me and by the time we landed at Brize Norton 36 hours later I had decided to sell up and switch to US modelling. I sold everything to other club members and funded my First HO US layout, a Burlington Northern switching layout, at that time I only had Athearn locos which were a great improvement over my Lima and Hornby. |
