Hi again after hearing some positive comments about the loco roster article I was encouraged to make another one for my stock, so to start with I'm writing about my passenger stock.
First I will explain that I am not trying to match a particular train on a particular day I just want to show what Amtrak means to me. Both the passenger trains I will run will be hauled by Kato P42DC locomotives and possibly an Atlas Dash 8 pasnger variant. At the moment all my passenger stock is in Phase III livery I plan to finish this train and then start making another in Phase IV and either run them in their particular sets or as Amtrak does, anything goes. I will only show 1 of each particular type of car rather than every single car A more detailed description of the Superliner fleet can be found here mainly used east of the Mississippi river due to their height which excludes them been used on the east coast routes First Up is the baggage cars these "Material Handling Cars" as Amtrak call them are fantastic models, the photo shows one straight out of the box with no added details, it is hard to tell that this is an N Scale model. These are used for a variety of things mainly luggage. Next up is a Kato Superliner 1 Coach, these are where the passengers just sit and watch the world go by, as you can see they have large windows for you to see out of
The Lounge car is similar to the observation cars that preceded the superliner cars, these have even biiger windows and a glass roof for you to watch the amazing vista's you encounter whilst travelling across the USA
Next is an important part of long distance travel, the sleeping car
